About
What are the stories, experiences, and tools we need to feel connected to our planet and to each other?
Growing up in the entertainment industry the child of a special effects operator and a costume designer, I have always understood the power of creative storytelling through the framework of both the arts and sciences. I am an insightful and strategic thinker with the ability identify an objective and plot out how to achieve it, and am also an innovative and creative professional who understands the powerful role of stories and creative thinking. I am driven by a personal understanding of how the narratives we learn — from content and media to the cultural mythologies of our lived experiences — craft the way we understand what is possible for us, both for ourselves as individuals and in how we relate to our communities and planet.
I am adept at understanding complex global and cultural movements and translating them into resonate and impactful media narratives. I am driven by a joy and curiosity for the world, a love of interpretive plaques, funky museums, and facts about oceans, space, and dinosaurs (all things that put the human experience in perspective).
Currently, I’m working with the Sierra Club as the Head of Creative & Brand Communications to build the creative function for the organization — establishing and leading a new team to re-think and re-design the organization’s creative voice in order to resonate with a contemporary audience. As the Global Brand Marketing Manager at The North Face overseeing the Mountain Sports & Expeditions and Social Impact verticals, I led global marketing operations and brand strategy to craft stories about the power of exploration to build community, connect to our planet, and drive brand objectives. While on the Social Impact & Sustainability team at Edelman I advised clients — from Fortune 100 corporations to non-profits — on climate and social/cultural issues to develop and execute authentically impactful programs and communication strategies.
I hold a Master’s degree in Gender and Media studies from the London School of Economics and write on issues of representation, market forces, and media with a particular focus on gender, sexuality, and race. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College, where I studied architecture and the role of art in American political movements of the 20th century.
